The Story

Amathonsi Abanzi is an award-winning novel selected through the FISA Arts Festival. Now, we are bringing this powerful story to the big screen. This feature film celebrates South African creativity, culture and storytelling — while creating employment opportunities and supporting emerging filmmakers and creatives from KwaZulu-Natal. We are raising R30 million to finance production, post-production, marketing, and global distribution. Every contribution — from individuals, corporates, and philanthropic organisations — brings us one step closer to telling our story on the world stage.
